ABOUT HUMANE SOCIETY ATLANTIC COUNTY
The Humane Society of Atlantic County was established as an Animal Shelter in 1968. Our mission is to curb pet over population through our clinics spay and neuter programs, increase the number of animals adopted into loving homes through our shelter, provide a safe and caring environment for animals that are lost or strayed, and to serve as a resource for humane animal education within our community.

ADOPTING AN ANIMAL
All animals are temperament tested, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, screened for heartworm disease (dogs), Feline Leukemia (cats), vaccinated with age appropriate core vaccines and de-wormed. Currently, many of our animals come from over-crowded shelters throughout the East Coast and Puerto Rico. This is our way of helping to reduce unnecessary euthanasia at many shelters due to over population.
